Drakula

The son of The Dragon takes the rule of Wallachia; his father's name, his father's state: the reign of Vlad Drakula, a reign characterised in order, law, stability - and death; endless, brutal death.

Political and military machinations draw in and repel in turn the empires of Christendom and Turkey, and draw in too Trovato diVelli, once more in the orbit of his former pupil.

But an empire will withstand only so much goading. Invasion and the oblivion of exile. Imprisonment and the slow climb to respect. The final reign and the decisive confrontation with the Ottoman Empire; a battle attended by enemies he does not know exist.
